2008 BOLDER BOULDER EVENT REVIEW

The 7th annual Bolder Boulder Mountainboard Rail Jam was as rockin' as ever. Rain hampered the crowds a bit but the riding continued hard-core. This year, actually because of the rain, we implemented a new Contest Format,  "Longest Grass Slide" contest.  Although the rules were a bit sketchy it made for a LOT of fun. DISTANCE JUMP
The Distance Jump is always funny at the Bolder Boulder. We have a 20' tower and flying super fast and then we hit a 12" jump. What's up with that? But it turns out this is a pretty challenging feat....not only to hit the skinny jump at top speed but to transfer all that energy into a low / long jump. Fun.

DISTANCE SLIDE
So the rain kept coming down and someone had the grand idea to have a long distance slide contest. Who's idea was that? Anyway, it turned out to be a lot of fun. Next year we will have to do a Slide / Style contest cause there was some serious style being slid.
