2007 MBS NEW PRODUCT LINE PREVIEW

It's that time of year again when we roll out our latest contributions to the sport of mountainboarding. This year we have a little bit of everything! NEW BOARDS, NEW GRAPHICS, NEW TRUCKS and NEW TREAD. As well, we are implementing a whole new Board Naming System based on deck lengths instead of on overall board lengths that will continue into the future. What you will see below is exciting and new but not our entire line, for instance we are continuing our current and very popular line of Pro Model boards throughout the year as well as our current Atom range of Recreational boards.

As members of MBS' immediate family you are seeing these products FIRST and before they are released to the general public.

So, without further ado, here we go again!

MBS CORE 90 - ADVANCED ALL-AROUND

Combining lightweight T1 tires and Rock Star hubs with the shortest composite deck available, makes this a fantastic choice for anybody looking at kiting or for those juniors who wish to tackle the hills in style.

MBS CORE 95 - ADVANCED ALL-AROUND / FREESTYLE

The Core 95 is an excellent advanced level board for freestyle riders
and kiteboarders utilizing brand new 2007 MBS trucks and tires. This
board makes a fantastic choice for anybody looking for all-around
performance at a price that won’t break the bank.

MBS COMP 90 - EXPERT ALL-AROUND / KITE

The Comp 90, our NEWEST breed of mountainboard, is going to revolutionize the sport of mountainboarding. Combining existing high tech components with the latest Vector Truck technology we’ve acheived the perfect blend for both freestylers and kiters. All hail the Comp 90!

MBS VECTOR TRUCKS - MBS' NEW Vector trucks with patent pending "Twin Pin Channel" truck technology provide the perfect blend between precision, weight, and economy by combining the attributes of the lightweight, easy to adjust, and inexpensive ATS truck with the world renowned precision and stability of the Matrix Channel truck. Added features such as a flat grind surface and the stainless M10 king pin and hardware guarantee that the Vector will be loved by weight-conscious kiteboarders, mountainboarders and skate park riders alike.

MBS T3 TIRES - The design of the T3 tire builds upon the tried and true performance of the T1 by using similar tread elements in new ways. The result is a great new tread with increased durability and multi-terrain functionality.

Split Center Bead modeled on traditional T1 bead. This design element combined with a flatter profile puts more rubber on the ground. This increases overall durability as well as traction on pavement.

Center Channel helps to channel water in wet conditions.

NAMING CONVENTION CHANGE or "What's in a Name?"

We previously used the total board length as our board naming convention. For instance the Comp 16 actually had an overall board length of 116cm. With the introduction of the NEW Vector truck, this naming convention is not accurate because this measurement is dependent on the deck/truck geometry. Since the decks and trucks have different geometry, the overall board length changes when using a different set up than our stock board. To solve this inconsistency, we have changed our deck measurement convention (see Diagram A) to the actual deck length rather than the total board length (including trucks and wheels). Table A illustrates the impact of various deck/truck combinations.
