LET'S FLY !
Whether you're hitting a hand-carved dirt jump in the forest, launching down a flight of stairs in the city or boosting off a wooden ramp in your backyard, it's all that same beautiful feeling. CATCHING AIR! Momentarily defying gravity, pulling a nice grab and coming back to Earth with a nice smooth transition. There's no better feeling right?
This month's underlying theme and Contest is all about getting air-born!
Read on to get the skinny on this month's Sweepstakes board, Contest rules, event reports and of course killer shots from people like you from around the world.
Keep it rollin' along and as always stay tuned to MBS.COM for all things "mountainboarding".

Hi,
We're 3 brothers from Belgium, oost-vlaanderen. I'm 16 years old, Joost is 20 years old and Wouter is 23 years old. Wouter has been riding for 3 years already, me and Joost about 2 years and a bit. I got a MBS Pro 16 with some changes, Joost a MBS Comp 16 and Wouter a MBS Pro 12.
We ride at our home, a track we built with our very own hands, we’ve got a ramp where we start from (it’s about 5m high) then we have a big air and then several smaller jumps and a rail. We also ride anywhere / everywhere we can! You can’t stop us!
We really do it for fun and to get the adrenaline kick. We have amazing times when we meet and ride and build our jumps.

KITE TEAM RIDER WES MATWEYEW - CALIFORNIA KITE SPOTS
"There are few good places depending on tides. On negative tides in the afternoons (when the wind is blowin) Oxnard Shores / Mandalay Beach is a good bet. Zuma Beach can also get good under similiar minus tides. Also the park next to the Oxnard airport is pretty good with wind info from iwindsurf.com or just call the airport for wind info. It's grass. There is also a few parks and schools in the Camarillo area ( left side of the 101 to the beach with wide areas). I'm in Costa Rica till Feb 1. Then I'll be back in Ventura.

For all you B movie horror enthusiasts out there you might want to check this out. Apparently Brian Southard from HillBilly Protective Gear gets an Axe to the back of the head! A movie about an evil beer keg? I mean, come on! That's gotta be cool.

Patrick Thomas - Circa 1997 - Killer set up. We actually jumped the car as it was moving too. Those were the days. Check out the grass laden landing! What were we thinking?
