What a trip it was. From carving the super smooth drainage ditches near Lake Mead to dropping the infamous Apex cliffs. From flying kites with some of the best land kiters in the world to partying with the crew atop the Stratosphere we pretty much did it all. DISNEY MOUNTAINBOARD MOVIE? LOOK OUT!
MBS Team Rider Leon Robbins does some of the most mind blowing riding of his career and Akoni Kama plays himself in the movie. This should be interesting to say the least. Click HERE for the trailer.
Johnny Kapahala: Back on Board is a Disney Channel Original Movie and the sequel to the 1999 film Johnny Tsunami. The movie is scheduled to premiere on Disney Channel on June 8, 2007. The filming took place in Auckland, New Zealand, from January 22 to February 23, 2007. Previews started airing during the premiere of "The Suite Life Goes Hollywood".
Here's the storyline:
Johnny Kapahala, a teen snowboarding champion from Vermont, returns to Oahu, Hawaii, for the wedding of his hero – his grandfather, local surf legend Johnny Tsunami – and to catch a few famous Kauai waves. When Johnny arrives, he meets his new family, including Uncle Chris (the 12-year-old son of his new step-grandmother) who resents the upcoming marriage. Chris's only interest is to join a mountainboarding crew led by a teenage bully. When Johnny's grandfather and his new wife open a surf shop that also caters to mountainboarders, they are soon embroiled in a turf war with a rival shop owner who wants to shut their business down. Chris's antics cause complications for the store opening and the wedding, but eventually he reaches out to Johnny who helps Chris find his place within the new family and settle a turf war between the dueling sports shops.

Applying Peanut Butter with an F3 Binding Strap - by Evan Carlson
Step 1: Grab a board with F3 bindings and a jar of peanut butter. Open the bindings so that the ladder strap is out on it's own. Remove lid of peanut butter.
Step 2: Use strap to scoop up a bunch of peanut butter.
Step 3: Apply peanut butter to bread and enjoy your sandwich and then GO RIDE!
NAMING CONVENTION CHANGE or "What's in a Name?"
We previously used the total board length as our board naming convention. For instance the Comp 16 actually had an overall board length of 116cm. With the introduction of the NEW Vector truck, this naming convention is not accurate because this measurement is dependent on the deck/truck geometry. Since the decks and trucks have different geometry, the overall board length changes when using a different set up than our stock board. To solve this inconsistency, we have changed our deck measurement convention (see Diagram A) to the actual deck length rather than the total board length (including trucks and wheels). Table A illustrates the impact of various deck/truck combinations.
