“Mason Moore stands on his head as Matt Silva flys over him as they performed at the Mountainboarding Big Air Show at the Western Idaho Fair Sunday afternoon. The action show featured riders using a deck with pneumatic tires attached to trucks. The sport is unique because mountainboarders can ride on a variety of different terrain including gravel paths, grassy hills, as well as traditional skate parks and streets. Sunday’s performance marked the final day of this year’s Western Idaho Fair.” CHRIS BUTLER

Taking place over the weekend of Oct 6 and 7 the event will consist of  Freeride and Freestyle events plus a few other ideas. Events are open to every age and every level of riding. Saturday’s festivities will take place at the famous “Body Rock” woods outside of Sedalia Colorado in the Rampart Range Forest and on Sunday at the world class Valmont Bike Park in Boulder Colorado. How did you get into the sport?
Went to a local ski shop and bought a big kite took it to a park and got my a$$ handed to me. Went back to the shop and bought a smaller kite, got my a$$ handed to me again and again and again…and again. I went home with a smile on my face, torn cloths and though “Yep, this is exactly the sport for me”

Current board quiver…..what you use it for: 
Right now I’m rocking the Pro 95 Retaliation; and I must say, this board is where it’s at! The wider binding platform enables crazy good board control and it’s just an all-around steeze machine. I keep the bindings a bit loose-ish to help with pushing and “footless-opportunities”.

Favorite style of riding: 
Man, I just like to ride whatever’s available at the time. Usually that consists of bombing crazy sketchy dirt roads and drops……lots and lots of drops……….I drop it like it’s hot. I’m also pretty fond of hitting kickers to flat……….who needs landings right?

What your ideal ride day would be: 
Wake up early, hammer down some Strawberry Frosted mini-wheats & a banana, then hit the trails and maybe try to scope out some natural features with the homies. Any day on my board is a good one though, so I’m not very picky.

Where you would like to go riding that you haven’t already: 
Dude, I’m seriously wanting to go overseas and hit up any of those mountainboard centers in the UK.  Those jumps LOOK SICK!

How did you get into the sport: 
Long, long ago, I was watching “The Core Tour” on tv and saw these crazy guys hucking themselves over a high-jump bar with these mysterious skateboard/snowboard/bike contraptions………A few years later, I purchased my first board from MBS and I’ve been hooked ever since!

Bing is for doers like Andy Milenkovic. Andy’s determination to be a leading mountain boarder has never been motivated by fame or sponsorship deals. In this cross between skateboarding and snowboarding there are none, he was simply looking for an adrenaline fix between snow seasons. No one could have ever guessed he would gain a world record from it. This documentary tells Andy’s story.
