09 KAOS IN KANSAS - The Twilight Showdown!
THE RESULTS ARE IN! This event rocked. Riders from as far as Hawaii, Oregon and New Hampshire converged in the middle of the Kansas corn fields to find one of the coolest boardercross and slopestlye course in the United States. The event producers really stepped it up this year and put a huge amount of work into the course. And bottom line...this event was fun! Read on for some event insight and results. Make sure to put this event on your calender for next year! A huge huge THANKS to the Heberly Family, Matt Kenoyer and Devin Fritz who really made this thing happen!

People say Kansas is flat...but little do they know there is plenty of slope to make two fantastic mountainboard courses. Build it....and they will ride it!

Under the lights the boardercourse course beckoned riders. Having never raced at night I wasn't sure how the visibility would be but it was perfect and created an even greater competition feel.

This is how Evan Carlson looked after viewing the Slopestyle course.

Barn drops to two massive jumps and your pick of several boxes, rails and tables. At the end of the course was a very cool wall feature. You really had to see it to beleive it.

Arkansas rider Chris Jessee ready to climb the ladder to the "Drop-In".

Derek Howe ready to drop in.

New Hampshire rider Jereme Leafe is back! Apparently he was hanging around in the sunflower field for the last two years but it looked as if he never was out of the riding scene. Jereme won Pro Big Air and Slopestyle.

Jereme Leafe practicing on the BX course.

Oregon rider Ben Minton racing through the darkness.

Kody Stewart touching the lights jumping the "camel back" BX feature.

Utah rider Mason Moore hanging out in the barn.

Brandon Johanns showing some flair.

Cole Shipp showing off new Yellow T3s. Cole took 2nd in Pro Slopestyle.

Cole Shipp showing some serious air style.

Derek Howe....big Japan air.

Evan Carlson doing the Cow Bell post tap. Evan wasn't going to stop untill he really rang the bell...he rode until 2am....but rang the bell and in fact broke the bell.

Rail Slide winner Kody Stewart. Riders lauched themselves into the rail with the help of a 10' Urban Assault Bungee. Perfect for rails.
