TUBE PROTECTION - By Pro Rider Dave Stiefvater

Here is what Dave likes to do to add another level of protection to his tubes and extending his riding sessions.
Tools Needed: Hex Key - Carpet knife or other blade - Pump
Step 1: Dissasemble your wheel and take out your good tube.
Step 2: Take an old flat dead tube, cut out the stem and cut around the inner diameter making a tube sleeve. Be careful not to cut yourself!
Step 3: Put your new tube inside of that old dead one you just cut. It will fit over it like a sleeve acting as an extra layer of protection between your tube and thorns or other sharp items. Put this tube combo back into your tire.
Step 4: Now reassemble your wheel like normal and air up to your desired psi.
Step 5: Do this technique to the other 3 tires.
"I did this about 8 months ago to all my tires and I just recently got a slow leaker that takes about 3 days before I even notice it. I know I've taken tons of thorns and it hasn't ended my session.
With all the new super duper light weight stuff something like this won't really affect the overall weight of your board."
